Baoji, China
Bi Lour Tqun – An impressive kind of tea, made from the leaves of some terrestrial plant, but also of an animal from the sea, quite possibly the sea cucumber. Long and black and knobbly-shaped, the sea cucumber is ground into this mixture of sea and earth, to give the tea a slightly bitter, slightly magnetic, and very pleasing meaty strength. A taste much worth savouring, for my time here in Baoji!
